Disease description:

My daughter had a fever last night, and this morning she developed muscle stiffness. I suspect it might be a seizure caused by high fever. What are the symptoms of febrile seizures?

The main manifestations of convulsions include episodic twitching and stiffness of the chest muscles, possibly accompanied by symptoms such as nystagmus and blinking. Some patients may also experience foaming at the mouth, urinary or fecal incontinence, twitching of fingers, facial muscles, and toes during an episode. If any of the above symptoms occur, prompt medical evaluation and treatment should be sought at a hospital.
