Recently, my sister has often had no appetite and was diagnosed with hepatitis B. Why is antiviral therapy not recommended for people who are carriers of hepatitis B?

Dr. Jin Zhongkui
Antiviral therapy is not recommended for individuals carrying hepatitis B, possibly because the patients are in the immune tolerance phase or because the medication has limited effect. The immune tolerance phase mainly refers to a condition where the hepatitis B virus in carriers currently does not cause liver cell damage, thus antiviral treatment is unnecessary. Limited drug effectiveness primarily means that hepatitis B is not in an active phase, and therefore antiviral therapy is not required.
