Hair loss and baldness belong to seborrheic alopecia, which may be related to genetic factors; some patients have a family history. It could also result from increased secretion of androgens after puberty, stimulating hair follicles and disrupting normal protein metabolism in the follicles, leading to hair loss. In addition, habitual late-night staying up, excessive alcohol consumption, or eating overly spicy and irritating foods are also non-negligible contributing factors.
