What to do for acute hemorrhagic shock
Disease description:
A friend has gone into acute hemorrhagic shock and has already been taken to the hospital by a colleague. What should be done for acute hemorrhagic shock?
Acute hemorrhagic shock requires fluid resuscitation, hemostasis, and other interventions. A venous access should be established using a relatively large-bore vein to allow rapid fluid infusion. Meanwhile, cross-matching and blood transfusion should be actively performed to restore blood volume. Controlling bleeding is the fundamental treatment for hemorrhagic shock and requires assessment based on the patient's medical history, symptoms, physical signs, and auxiliary examinations. For superficial bleeding, methods such as digital pressure, pressure dressing, or tourniquet application can be used to achieve hemostasis.
