What to do for hemorrhagic shock
Disease description:
While walking on the street, my friend suddenly collapsed. I felt she might have passed out, so I immediately called 120. The doctor said it was hemorrhagic shock. What should be done for hemorrhagic shock?
Hemorrhagic shock requires pharmacological treatment. Prompt administration of isotonic balanced salt solution is necessary following hemorrhagic shock. This helps prevent excessive fluid loss and resultant electrolyte imbalances, thereby alleviating the condition. Secondly, timely blood transfusion is essential. While ensuring airway patency, adequate oxygen should be provided, along with infusion of crystalloid and colloid solutions to prevent recurrence of the condition.
