My relative has always been in good health, but was suddenly diagnosed with leukemia. I'd like to ask, what causes acquired hemophilia?

Acquired hemophilia, also known as von Willebrand disease, is a disorder characterized by a tendency to bleed from childhood. The pathogenesis primarily involves the presence of this factor in endothelial cells, megakaryocytes, and platelets, where it generates a therapeutic factor that triggers bleeding and accelerates its phagocytosis by mononuclear phagocytes, leading to impaired platelet adhesion and aggregation. The main treatment is desmopressin, which stimulates endothelial cells to release the causative factor. This is followed by replacement therapy using fresh plasma and cryoprecipitate. Additionally, hemostatic and fibrinolytic drugs may also be used for treatment.
