Preterm labor at 35 weeks can be managed with bed rest, medications, and other treatments. If preterm delivery occurs, the baby can survive with proper medical care in a hospital; therefore, it is best to remain on bed rest. It is recommended to go to the hospital for an ultrasound examination. If the ultrasound results are normal, with no abdominal pain or contractions and no increased bleeding, the pregnancy may continue. Progesterone supplements or other fetal-preserving medications may be taken, along with strict bed rest, avoidance of sexual intercourse, adequate rest, staying warm, and avoiding physical exertion. Prompt medical attention should be sought when necessary to preserve the pregnancy. However, if examinations indicate that preterm birth is unavoidable, hospitalization should be initiated as soon as possible.
