How is hip synovitis generally treated?
Disease description:
Not long ago, I was diagnosed with hip synovitis, but it's not severe. If this condition remains untreated, how is hip synovitis generally treated?
Transient synovitis of the hip is primarily treated with local oral anti-inflammatory and analgesic medications, as well as local traction and immobilization. This condition is typically caused by colds, excessive strain, or degenerative changes, leading to inflammation of the synovium, increased synovial fluid secretion, and subsequent joint swelling and pain. Applying heat therapy can help improve local blood circulation, reduce synovial swelling, decrease fluid exudation, and alleviate pain.
