For mild nosebleeds, pressing both nostrils with fingers for several minutes can effectively stop the bleeding. Alternatively, a cotton swab dipped in Yunnan Baiyao can be used to pack both nostrils. In severe cases, prompt medical attention at a hospital emergency department is necessary for proper hemostasis.
