What should I do if nasal membrane injury causes nosebleeds?
Disease description:
My nose was slightly injured, which caused damage to the nasal mucosa. Now I'm experiencing continuous nosebleeds and don't know what to do. I'd like to ask: what should I do for a nosebleed caused by nasal mucosal injury?
Nasal mucosa injury can cause nosebleeds, which generally require packing or electrocoagulation for hemostasis. With the above treatments, nasal bleeding can be stopped. In some patients with mild bleeding, the cause may be related to picking nasal crusts. Packing may not be necessary; instead, they can apply erythromycin ointment locally inside the nasal cavity. However, if the patient is allergic to erythromycin, this treatment should be avoided.
