How to treat nosebleeds caused by lung heat
Disease description:
Recently, I went to the hospital due to nosebleeds. After examination, the doctor said it was caused by "lung heat." Could you please tell me how to treat nosebleeds caused by lung heat?
Nosebleeds caused by lung heat can be treated by drinking herbal tea made from traditional Chinese herbs such as white root of cogongrass (Rhizoma Imperatae), agrimony herb (Herba Agrimoniae), dwarf lilyturf tuber (Ophiopogon japonicus), and skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis). However, it is important to avoid spicy and irritating foods, especially hot-natured foods such as chili peppers, hot pot, jackfruit, or other "heating" fruits. Regularly drinking stewed pear with rock sugar may be helpful. Eating lotus root and lily bulbs appropriately is also beneficial, as these are commonly used ingredients with heat-clearing properties.
