Norepinephrine should not be used in hemorrhagic shock because it causes vasoconstriction and does not replenish blood volume. Although norepinephrine can constrict blood vessels, in hemorrhagic shock—where blood volume is already reduced—its use may impair organ perfusion. In hemorrhagic shock, rapid restoration of blood volume is essential. Norepinephrine is not recommended; instead, intravenous access should be established and fluid resuscitation initiated. Crystalloid solutions are preferred, such as 0.9% normal saline, to rapidly assess the patient's bleeding status and control hemorrhage as quickly as possible.
