Pain in the right scapula is usually caused by trauma, periarthritis of the shoulder, cervical spondylosis, or other reasons. When there is a violent incident (such as impact or fall) near the right scapula, it may damage local soft tissues and bones, leading to symptoms such as pain and swelling. The pathological changes of periarthritis involve long-term inflammation and fibrosis of ligamentous tissues surrounding the joint capsule, which causes pain around the shoulder joint and restricted movement.
