What causes synovitis in the fingers?
Disease description:
Recently, I've been feeling numbness in my fingers, and sometimes the pain is quite severe. After visiting the hospital, I was diagnosed with tenosynovitis of the fingers. I would like to know what causes tenosynovitis of the fingers?
Finger synovitis is generally caused by frequent exposure to cold water or long-term engagement in heavy lifting work. In daily work and life, prolonged contact with cold water can lead to joint cooling and dampness, resulting in inflammatory proliferation of the synovium in finger joints, thus causing finger synovitis and associated symptoms such as pain, swelling, and stiffness. Long-term heavy loading can cause excessive wear on the finger joints, leading to synovitis.
