What are the symptoms of normal wisdom tooth eruption?
Disease description:
My lower right tooth at the very back is very painful, possibly due to a wisdom tooth coming in. What are the normal symptoms of erupting wisdom teeth?
Normally erupting wisdom teeth may cause no symptoms in some individuals, who may not even be aware of their presence. However, others may experience pain, and a blind pouch may form between the wisdom tooth and the gum, potentially leading to pericoronitis. In severe cases, there is a risk of developing space infections in the jaw and face. Additionally, wisdom teeth often erupt at irregular times, have prolonged eruption periods, and are prone to recurrent swelling. Some wisdom teeth may be positioned low or horizontally impacted.
