Does it hurt when wisdom teeth grow in?

Wisdom teeth eruption does not necessarily cause pain. Not all wisdom teeth lead to discomfort; when the tooth is properly positioned and there is sufficient space for it to emerge normally, no pain occurs. However, since wisdom teeth are the last permanent teeth to erupt, they often lack adequate space, leading in most cases to pericoronitis around the wisdom tooth.
