What causes high progesterone levels?
Disease description:
A few days ago, when I went to the hospital for a gynecological examination, I found that my luteinizing hormone (LH) level seemed to be relatively high. What causes elevated luteinizing hormone levels?
High progesterone levels are due to premature ovarian failure, which leads to elevated luteinizing hormone. Premature ovarian failure is mostly caused by genetic factors, iatrogenic factors, autoimmune factors, and environmental factors, all of which are somewhat related. Patients with premature ovarian failure are prone to symptoms such as menstrual disorders, infertility, and estrogen deficiency, and should be treated under a doctor's guidance with estrogen, progesterone, and other therapies.
