What is the normal value of progesterone?
I'm pregnant and just had my progesterone level checked. I'm not sure whether the result is normal. Could someone please explain what the normal range of progesterone levels is during different stages of pregnancy?

Progesterone is a hormone whose normal range varies according to different physiological stages. During early pregnancy, from the first to third month of gestation, progesterone levels typically range from 9-47 ng/ml. In the second trimester, between the fourth and sixth month of pregnancy, progesterone levels may rise to 18-143 ng/ml. In late pregnancy, from the seventh to ninth month, progesterone levels may further increase to 76-300 ng/ml. These values represent reference ranges based on blood test results and actual values may vary due to individual differences, testing methods, and laboratory standards.
In addition, for non-pregnant women of childbearing age, the normal range of progesterone may differ. During the follicular phase, which extends from the end of the last menstrual period to ovulation, normal progesterone levels are generally below 3.18 nmol/L. During the luteal phase, from ovulation until the onset of menstruation, the normal progesterone range is 15.9-63.6 nmol/L. For postmenopausal women, normal progesterone levels are below 3.18 nmol/L, while for menopausal women, the reference range for normal progesterone is 0-2.2 nmol/L.
