How to manage threatened miscarriage
Disease description:
Today there was spotting; examination revealed symptoms of threatened miscarriage. How should threatened miscarriage be managed?
Threatened miscarriage can be managed with medications, surgical procedures, and other treatments. During pregnancy, tocolytic drugs such as oral dydrogesterone tablets or progesterone capsules may be taken. If threatened miscarriage occurs, it is recommended to rest in bed and maintain appropriate physical activity while ensuring adequate nutritional intake. In cases of heavy vaginal bleeding, an ultrasound examination at an obstetrics and gynecology department is advised. If the miscarriage is due to insufficient pregnancy hormones, progesterone injections may be administered to support the pregnancy.
