Cervical cysts are cystic lesions, while cervical polyps are solid lesions. Cervical cysts do not become malignant and can be left untreated if there are no obvious symptoms. The possibility of malignancy in cervical polyps is very low, but timely treatment after diagnosis is necessary. Cervical polyps should be actively removed surgically. Cervical nabothian cysts usually do not require treatment and have different clinical presentations. Cervical polyps may frequently present with contact bleeding and other symptoms, whereas cervical nabothian cysts typically have no specific clinical manifestations.
