If a woman with regular menstruation has a history of sexual intercourse and experiences bleeding during non-menstrual periods, she might be pregnant. In such cases, timely medical examinations including color Doppler ultrasound and measurement of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) levels are necessary. If blood test results show hCG levels above the normal range, this indicates pregnancy. Depending on the development of the gestational sac, it may be detected inside or outside the uterus, leading to diagnoses such as intrauterine pregnancy, threatened abortion, or ectopic pregnancy. Sometimes diagnosis is difficult and requires additional procedures such as posterior fornix puncture or other auxiliary tests. Occasionally, women may experience slight bleeding after menstruation due to high psychological stress or changes in work and rest patterns.
