Because some women engage in sexual activity after abortion, it may cause damage to the endometrium and cervix, and lead to increased menstrual bleeding during menstruation. Abortion procedures can result in certain complications, such as endometritis and pelvic inflammatory disease. Due to inflammatory stimulation, endometrial shedding may accelerate, resulting in heavier menstrual flow. You can first observe; if the bleeding gradually stops within 3–4 days, there usually won't be a major problem. However, if the uterus continues to contract excessively, hemostatic treatment will be necessary.
