What causes abnormal vaginal discharge before menstruation?

Women may notice milky white discharge before their period, without odor or itching symptoms. It is recommended to wash daily with warm water and change underwear frequently. However, if there is excessive discharge before menstruation accompanied by odor or itching discomfort, this indicates an abnormal condition related to inflammation or infection.
