Dr. Jiang Weimin
Recovering from influenza A does not immediately lead to influenza B. Influenza A and influenza B are two different viruses with no causal relationship between them. The epidemiological and immunological characteristics of influenza A and influenza B viruses also differ, so recovery from influenza A does not directly result in immediate infection with influenza B. However, influenza A virus infection may reduce the body's immunity, making it more susceptible to other viral infections. In some cases, if the immune system is weakened following an influenza A infection, the risk of contracting influenza B virus might increase. Nevertheless, this risk is not absolute, as individual immune status and personal differences significantly influence susceptibility to infection.
