In general, nosebleeds may result from problems within the nasal cavity or from systemic issues involving the blood or cardiovascular systems. If the nasal area suffers external trauma, it may cause rupture of capillaries and lead to bleeding. Additionally, conditions such as nasal polyps or deviated nasal septum can also trigger nosebleeds. Moreover, blood disorders like leukemia may impair the blood's clotting ability, thereby causing nosebleeds. If a patient experiences prolonged or frequent nosebleeds, timely medical evaluation is recommended, including a complete blood count (CBC), to identify the underlying cause and guide appropriate treatment.
