If a baby's skin gets sunburned, take the following steps:

1. Move the baby to a cool, shaded area as soon as possible to avoid further sun exposure.

2. Gently apply a cool, damp cloth to the sunburned area for 10–15 minutes several times a day to help lower skin temperature and reduce pain and swelling.

3. Give the baby plenty of water to compensate for potential fluid loss due to sunburn.

4. Apply a gentle, non-irritating moisturizer or aloe vera gel to relieve dryness and discomfort.

5. If blisters appear on the sunburned area, do not break them to prevent infection.

6. Monitor the baby’s condition; if symptoms such as fever, irritability, or dehydration occur, seek medical attention immediately.
