Disease description:

I'm already 18 years old, but while I see my friends and classmates becoming increasingly well-developed, my own chest remains very flat. I'm wondering—can breasts undergo a second phase of development?

Under normal circumstances, the breasts do not undergo a second phase of development. According to female physiological patterns, during puberty, the breasts experience significant developmental changes, typically involving enlargement of the nipples, darkening of the areolas, and overall growth in breast size. Once puberty ends, estrogen and progesterone levels in women gradually stabilize, and breast development ceases, with no further significant growth occurring. After marriage, hormonal fluctuations related to pregnancy and childbirth may lead to changes such as darkening of the areolas, enlargement of the nipples, and increased breast size. However, this is not considered secondary development, but rather a result of physiological changes during pregnancy or the postpartum period.
