Chronic adnexitis is a common gynecological condition in women. The main symptoms include: 1. Lower abdominal symptoms: a sensation of heaviness, pain in the lower abdomen, and soreness in the lower back, varying in severity. These symptoms become more pronounced during menstruation, after sexual intercourse, or following physical exertion. 2. Menstrual abnormalities: commonly include heavy menstrual flow, irregular cycles, and prolonged periods, which may result from pelvic congestion and ovarian dysfunction. 3. Abnormal vaginal discharge: discharge may significantly increase and even become purulent. Some patients may also experience itching of the external genitalia. 4. Systemic symptoms: usually not prominent, but may include mild fever, fatigue, and general malaise.
