How is acute orchitis treated?
Disease description:
Recently, I've been experiencing frequent urination and urine stream splitting. It turned out to be acute orchitis. How is acute orchitis treated?

Mild symptoms can be relieved through general treatments such as bed rest, local cold or heat application, and scrotal elevation. If the condition is severe or physical therapy proves ineffective, antibiotic treatment should be promptly initiated—commonly with ceftriaxone, amoxicillin, or similar agents—to eliminate inflammation. If the inflammation progresses to abscess formation or suppurative orchitis, surgical intervention may be necessary, including incision and drainage of the abscess or orchiectomy. During treatment, patients should maintain good personal hygiene, avoid inappropriate sexual activity, stay in a positive mood, strengthen immunity, and take measures to prevent recurrence.
