Are the symptoms of epididymitis obvious?
Disease description:
I've been feeling uncomfortable lately, with a persistent sensation of swelling. I went to the hospital for an examination, and they diagnosed me with epididymitis. Are the symptoms of epididymitis obvious?
The severity of epididymitis symptoms mainly depends on the extent of the condition and individual differences. Generally, acute epididymitis presents with relatively obvious symptoms; patients may suddenly experience severe pain in the scrotal area, accompanied by swelling, induration, and tenderness of the epididymis. Systemic symptoms such as chills, fever, nausea, and vomiting may also occur. Symptoms of chronic epididymitis may be less pronounced but can include dull pain or discomfort in the scrotum, mild enlargement and hardening of the epididymis, and sometimes palpable nodules. The visibility of epididymitis symptoms varies with disease severity and individual variation. If related symptoms appear, timely medical evaluation is recommended for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
