Causes and Solutions for Palpitations
Disease description:
Recently, a lot has happened, causing me to often feel palpitations while sleeping at night. Initially, I thought it was due to psychological reasons and didn't pay much attention. However, the palpitations have become increasingly severe lately. I heard from someone that this might be arrhythmia, but I don't know whether it is caused by psychological factors or an underlying medical condition. Please explain the causes of palpitations and their solutions.

Causes of Palpitations:
1. Physiological factors: Vigorous exercise, emotional stress, alcohol consumption, and drinking coffee may all lead to palpitations.
2. Heart diseases: Arrhythmia, increased cardiac pulsation, and hypertension-induced heart disease are common causes of palpitations.
3. Diseases of other systems: Respiratory diseases (such as emphysema and pulmonary embolism) and anemia may also cause palpitations.
4. Mental and psychological disorders: Psychological conditions such as anxiety disorder and panic attacks may manifest as palpitations.
Solutions for Palpitations:
1. For physiological factors: Reduce intake of stimulants—for example, avoid sudden cessation after vigorous exercise, and limit caffeine and alcohol consumption.
2. For heart diseases: Seek timely medical attention and follow the doctor's recommendations for medication or surgical treatment.
3. For other systemic diseases: Treat the underlying condition, such as improving respiratory issues or correcting anemia.
4. For mental and psychological disorders: Undergo psychological therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or biofeedback therapy; medication may be used in combination when necessary.
