What is tuberculous lymphadenitis?

Tuberculous lymphadenitis is a chronic inflammatory disease caused by infection of the lymph nodes with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Its main characteristics include: 1. Common population: Frequently seen in children and young adults. 2. Infection source: Often caused by Mycobacterium bovis. 3. Clinical manifestations: Low-grade fever, fatigue, decreased appetite, and other symptoms. The lymph nodes become enlarged, firm in texture, and adhere to surrounding tissues.
