The symptoms of heatstroke mainly progress through three stages, and treatment should be determined according to the severity of symptoms. Symptoms include: 1. Early-stage heatstroke: characterized by dizziness, headache, thirst, weakness in limbs, profuse sweating, and normal or slightly elevated body temperature (≤37.5°C). 2. Mild heatstroke: in addition to the symptoms of early-stage heatstroke, body temperature rises above 38°C, accompanied by facial flushing, chest tightness, hot dry skin, nausea, vomiting, and decreased blood pressure. 3. Severe heatstroke: body temperature may rise above 40°C, with absence of sweating, impaired consciousness or even coma, and severe symptoms such as muscle spasms, convulsions, and breathing difficulties, which can be life-threatening. Treatment methods include: 1. Early-stage heatstroke: promptly move the person to a cool place and provide adequate hydration; symptoms usually subside. 2. Mild heatstroke: besides moving the person to a cool place, body cooling measures such as sponging with cold water or fanning should be applied, and salt-containing beverages should be consumed. 3. Severe heatstroke: immediate medical attention is required. Comprehensive cooling measures such as ice packs or cooling blankets should be used, along with fluid replacement and correction of electrolyte imbalance. Endotracheal intubation or other emergency interventions may be necessary.
