The main symptoms of viral hemorrhagic fever include the following aspects:
1. Fever: Patients often develop high fever, with body temperature reaching above 39°C, accompanied by chills. The fever may persist for 1 to 7 days.
2. Hemorrhage: This is a prominent feature of viral hemorrhagic fever, manifested as skin petechiae and ecchymosis, commonly found on the face, neck, chest, and other areas. Severe cases may present with nosebleeds, gum bleeding, gastrointestinal bleeding, or even life-threatening complications such as internal organ bleeding and cerebral hemorrhage.
3. Pain: Patients often feel fatigued, weak, and experience generalized body pain, including headache, orbital pain, back pain, and joint and muscle pain throughout the body. These pains may intensify as the condition worsens.
4. Other symptoms: Tissue edema may also occur, particularly swelling of the eyelids and conjunctiva. In severe cases, pulmonary edema may develop, leading to difficulty breathing.
It is recommended to seek medical attention promptly once related symptoms appear.
