How to care for a patient after meningioma surgery
Disease description:
I just had surgery for a meningioma yesterday and am still hospitalized for recovery today. I would like to know how to properly care for myself after meningioma surgery.

Postoperative Care for Meningioma:
1. Positioning Care: Postoperative patients should be placed in a supine position with the head turned to one side to prevent aspiration of vomitus, which may cause suffocation or pulmonary infection. For patients who have undergone decompressive craniectomy, special attention should be paid to avoiding pressure on the affected side to protect the brain tissue.
2. Drainage Tube Care: Ensure the head drainage tube is well fixed to prevent dislodgement. Monitor the color, characteristics, and volume of the drainage fluid to assess intracranial status.
3. Prevention of Complications: Regularly turn the patient and perform back tapping to promote expectoration and prevent pulmonary infection. Additionally, take measures to prevent urinary tract infections, deep vein thrombosis of the lower extremities, and other complications.
4. Dietary Care: Provide the patient with a liquid diet in the early postoperative period, gradually transitioning to easily digestible, high-nutrition, high-protein foods to promote physical recovery.
