My face often looks as if it has been bitten by mosquitoes, resembling a breakout of heat rash. Sometimes, for no apparent reason, several swollen bumps resembling mosquito bites appear. I would like to know what causes these mosquito bite-like symptoms on the face?

The appearance of symptoms resembling mosquito bites on the face, typically presenting as localized redness, swelling, itching, or slight elevation, may be caused by various factors. On one hand, it could indeed result from insect bites, especially common during summer or in humid environments, as allergens in insect saliva can trigger skin reactions. On the other hand, it may represent a skin allergy, such as contact with certain cosmetics, skincare products, pollen, dust mites, or other allergens, leading to skin rashes or red patches similar to insect bites. Additionally, skin conditions such as eczema and urticaria can also cause similar symptoms, often related to abnormal immune system responses.
In such cases, it is recommended to first observe whether symptoms resolve on their own, while avoiding scratching to prevent infection. If symptoms persist or worsen, prompt medical attention is advised.
