Myopia Prevention Measures
Disease description:
I am very afraid of developing myopia and would like to know about myopia prevention measures.

Measures to prevent myopia or slow its progression:
1. Eye usage habits: Avoid prolonged continuous reading or screen watching; take a 20-second break every 20 minutes to look at something 20 feet (approximately 6 meters) away. This is known as the "20-20-20" rule.
2. Outdoor activities: Ensure at least 2 hours of outdoor activity daily. Activities in natural sunlight help relax the eyes and reduce the risk of myopia.
3. Regular eye exercises: Perform regular eye exercises to help relax the eye muscles and promote blood circulation.
4. Balanced diet: Consume foods rich in vitamins A, C, and E, such as carrots, leafy green vegetables, and fish, which are beneficial for eye health.
5. Regular eye examinations: Children and adolescents should have their vision checked annually to detect and intervene in myopia early.
Note: If symptoms of myopia occur, consult a doctor promptly.
