Lymphoma, also known as lymphatic cancer, is a group of malignant tumors originating from lymphocytes. This mainly depends on factors such as the type of cancer, disease stage, patient's age, and overall health condition.
Early or localized lymphomas, such as Hodgkin lymphoma and peripheral T-cell lymphoma, generally have a better prognosis due to their sensitivity to chemotherapy and radiation therapy. However, for advanced or metastatic lymphoma, the chance of cure is relatively lower, although survival can still be prolonged and symptoms relieved.
