Can people with high uric acid levels eat pig's blood?
Disease description:
My father has often consumed pork blood in his diet. After recently being diagnosed with high uric acid levels, he has reduced his meat intake. I would like to ask, can people with high uric acid levels eat pork blood?

People with high uric acid levels can consume pig's blood, but only in moderation. As a low-purine food, pig's blood contains approximately 11 mg of purines per 100 grams, significantly lower than the threshold for high-purine foods (usually considered as over 150 mg of purines per 100 grams of food). Therefore, patients with high uric acid levels or those experiencing an acute gout attack can consume pig's blood in moderate amounts. Pig's blood is rich in protein, iron, and other nutrients, and can be beneficial for patients with iron-deficiency anemia. However, patients with high uric acid levels should still control their intake of pig's blood, as excessive consumption may lead to adverse reactions in the body, such as accumulation of metabolic waste. Additionally, pig's blood is susceptible to bacterial contamination, and should not be consumed if spoilage is detected.
