Common Fallopian Tube Diseases
I have been trying to conceive for over two years without success. My friends mentioned it might be due to fallopian tube disease. What are the common types of fallopian tube diseases?
Common fallopian tube diseases include salpingitis, fallopian tube obstruction, hydrosalpinx, ectopic pregnancy, fallopian tube tumors, tubal tuberculosis, fallopian tube prolapse, fallopian tube hypoplasia, fallopian tube endometriosis, and tubal torsion. These conditions may affect women's reproductive health, increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy, and even lead to infertility.
As part of the female reproductive system, the primary function of the fallopian tubes is to transport eggs from the ovaries to the uterus, and also serve as a crucial site for fertilization where sperm and eggs meet. When abnormalities occur in the fallopian tubes, such as inflammation, blockage, or twisting, they may interfere with the normal union of egg and sperm, thereby affecting conception. Therefore, women should undergo regular gynecological examinations and seek timely medical intervention and targeted treatment upon detection of abnormalities, in order to improve the chances of normal pregnancy and prevent the occurrence of ectopic pregnancy.
