Patients with high uric acid levels can consume pig's blood, but in moderation. Pig's blood is considered a low-purine food, containing approximately 11 milligrams of purines per 100 grams, which is significantly lower than the standard for high-purine foods. Therefore, moderate consumption will not have a significant impact on uric acid levels. Pig's blood is rich in nutrients such as protein and iron, and can be beneficial for patients with iron-deficiency anemia. However, patients with high uric acid levels should avoid consuming excessive amounts of pig's blood, as it may contain certain metabolic waste products, such as hormones, drugs, and urea, which could potentially cause adverse reactions when consumed in excess. Additionally, pig's blood is susceptible to bacterial contamination and should not be consumed if spoilage is evident. Patients should also ensure adequate water intake, which helps in the excretion of uric acid.
