The time required for recovery after cervical surgery varies depending on the type of surgery, the nature of the lesion, and individual differences, generally ranging from one to three months. Specifically, simple procedures such as cervical polypectomy and biopsy may require shorter recovery periods, usually around two weeks. More complex procedures such as cervical LEEP (loop electrosurgical excision procedure) or conization typically require one to two months, or even longer, for full recovery. For extensive cervical resection, the recovery period may be longer and must be determined according to individual circumstances. During the postoperative recovery period, patients should follow medical advice regarding care, including maintaining external genital hygiene, avoiding strenuous physical activity and heavy labor, and abstaining from sexual intercourse, to promote wound healing and prevent infection. Regular follow-up examinations are also necessary to monitor cervical recovery. The exact duration of recovery should be determined according to the physician's guidance and the patient's specific condition.
