Dietary禁忌for Bromhidrosis
Disease description:
Since my parents suffer from bromhidrosis, I have also inherited this condition. What are the dietary禁忌 (taboos) associated with this disease?
Dietary restrictions for bromhidrosis mainly include:
1. Avoid spicy and irritating foods: such as chili peppers, onions, garlic, scallions, ginger, etc., whose chemical components may be excreted through sweat, worsening the odor.
2. Reduce intake of greasy and high-fat foods: such as fried foods, red meats (pork, beef, lamb, etc.), which can increase sebum secretion, thereby exacerbating bromhidrosis.
3. Avoid allergenic and fishy-smelling foods: such as seafood (shrimp, crab), and some meats with a fishy odor, which may stimulate sweat gland secretion and increase the risk of bromhidrosis.
4. Limit tobacco and alcohol consumption: these substances can irritate the body, potentially disrupting endocrine function and increasing body odor.
5. Moderately control consumption of dried nuts: such as peanuts, sunflower seeds, walnuts, etc., which have high oil content and may indirectly affect body odor.
6. Consume more light-flavored foods and fruits and vegetables with high water content: such as wax gourd, watermelon, Chinese cabbage, oranges, etc., which help promote metabolism, eliminate toxins from the body, and alleviate bromhidrosis.
