Whether uterine fibroids can regress spontaneously mainly depends on the patient's age and hormone levels. Generally, uterine fibroids are hormone-dependent tumors, and their growth is closely related to estrogen secretion. For women of reproductive age with normal ovarian function, uterine fibroids usually do not disappear on their own. However, certain medications in clinical practice may help control their growth rate and alleviate symptoms. When a woman enters menopause or experiences premature ovarian failure, due to decreased estrogen levels, smaller uterine fibroids may shrink, atrophy, or even disappear completely.

Therefore, whether uterine fibroids will regress spontaneously needs to be evaluated based on the individual patient's specific circumstances. If the fibroid is small and not causing noticeable symptoms, regular monitoring may be appropriate. However, if the fibroid is large or causing significant symptoms such as anemia or pressure-related issues, timely medical consultation and consideration of surgical treatment are recommended.
