Gout patients can eat almonds, but should do so in moderation. Almonds, as a type of nut, have a low purine content, with approximately 32 mg of purine per 100 grams of almonds, which does not classify them as high-purine foods. Therefore, moderate consumption of almonds will not significantly increase uric acid levels and has minimal impact on gout. Almonds are also rich in nutrients such as protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals, which help supplement the body's nutritional needs and enhance physical health. Overconsumption of almonds may lead to toxicity; therefore, gout patients should control their intake and follow dietary advice from their doctors. In addition, gout patients should also avoid other high-purine foods, such as meat and seafood, to maintain stable uric acid levels.
