Symptoms and Best Treatments for Pharyngitis
Disease description:
I am a 40-year-old male. Recently, I have been experiencing discomfort in my throat. A friend mentioned it might be pharyngitis. Could you please tell me what symptoms of pharyngitis in females are?

Symptoms of pharyngitis:
1. Pharyngitis often presents with irritative dry cough; some individuals may also experience phlegm production.
2. Symptoms such as sore throat, hoarseness, a foreign body sensation in the throat, sticky phlegm, irritative cough, and dry heaving upon waking may also occur. Some patients may experience nausea and poor appetite.
3. In severe cases, symptoms such as elevated body temperature, joint pain, general weakness, headache, and dizziness may appear.
Treatment:
1. Enhance daily care: Patients should drink plenty of water, eat more light and easily digestible food, maintain moderate physical activity and sufficient sleep, improve personal constitution, and enhance immune function.
2. Topical medications: For patients with mild symptoms or no other systemic symptoms, gargling with normal saline or medicated mouthwash can effectively dilute oral secretions and relieve symptoms.
3. Oral medications: Under medical guidance, oral drug therapy may be used.
