What causes breast tenderness upon palpation?

Breast pain upon palpation can have several possible causes: 1. Menstrual cycle changes: Many women experience breast pain during their menstrual cycle, known as cyclical mastalgia, which is usually related to hormonal fluctuations. Breast tissue may swell and become painful, especially during the week before menstruation. 2.
