The main causes of kidney pain include the following aspects:
1. Urinary system diseases: Such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections, and renal infarction. These conditions may cause inflammation, edema, or obstruction of the kidneys and surrounding tissues, resulting in pain. Among these, kidney stones can cause particularly severe pain, which may be accompanied by symptoms such as nausea and vomiting.
2. Kidney-related diseases: Such as acute nephritis, acute pyelonephritis, and perinephritis. These diseases can cause enlargement of the kidney or stretching of the renal capsule, leading to pain.
3. Musculoskeletal disorders: For example, pathological changes in the lumbar spine and its fascia and muscles, including prolonged sitting, standing, bending, and incorrect postures during exercise, may all lead to lower back pain and pain in the kidney area. This type of pain usually subsides with rest or traction therapy.
4. Lesions in surrounding organs: Such as diseases of the biliary tract or pancreas. These conditions may indirectly cause kidney pain through neural conduction or inflammatory responses.
