Dandelion tea is not recommended for daily consumption. As a natural herbal beverage, dandelion tea is safe for most people and may provide certain health benefits, such as promoting digestion and diuresis for detoxification.

However, dandelion tea has a bitter and cold nature and is not suitable for long-term consumption by all individuals. People with yang deficiency, cold body constitution, or diarrhea should not drink dandelion tea daily, as it may worsen the body's cold condition, leading to adverse reactions such as spleen and stomach cold deficiency and weakened constitution. Long-term and excessive consumption of dandelion tea may also cause side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, cold intolerance, and cold limbs. Particularly for pregnant women and individuals with hypotension, the intake amount and frequency of dandelion tea should be carefully controlled due to its properties of dispersing nodules and removing blood stasis as well as lowering blood pressure.

If symptoms of excessive internal heat are present, such as sore throat, toothache, or mouth ulcers, the consumption of dandelion tea can be appropriately increased. However, the course of consumption should not exceed one week, or should be discontinued once symptoms improve, in order to avoid damaging the body's spleen and stomach yang energy with its cold nature.
