Can I drink dandelion tea if I have high uric acid levels?
Disease description:
I have some health issues myself, and sometimes I drink dandelion tea to help regulate my condition. However, I also have high uric acid levels, and I would like to know whether it's safe for me to consume dandelion.

Patients with high uric acid levels can drink dandelion water in moderation. Dandelion, as a traditional Chinese herb, has effects of clearing heat, detoxifying, promoting diuresis, and relieving urinary discomfort. It contains very low levels of purines and will not worsen the condition of high uric acid. Drinking dandelion water in appropriate amounts helps promote urine excretion, thereby assisting in the removal of excess uric acid from the body through urine. In addition, dandelion is rich in vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that help enhance immune function and are beneficial for patients with high uric acid levels. However, it should be noted that dandelion water cannot replace medications for lowering uric acid. Patients with high uric acid still need to follow standard medical treatments as directed by their physicians. Moreover, because dandelion water is relatively cooling in nature, patients with deficiency-cold in the spleen and stomach should consume it cautiously to avoid adverse effects such as diarrhea.
